Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. She was raised by her mom in the USA. She was subjected to racial insults, she was being made to feel unwelcome. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she was praised for her singing and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. The event not only helped the confidence of her, but also altered her goals in life. At 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. She began her career when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and You've Got Mail in film. Her biggest breakthrough was when she starred in the character of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot receiving not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In the year following, she appeared on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. In addition to being an acclaimed singer she also released her own solo album and an extended piece. She has also spoken out in support of LGBT issues.
